Our son wet the bed every night for years, until he was 7 1/2 years old. He would have continued to wet the bed every night had we not started using a bed-wetting alarm. We used this exact one, and our son no longer wets the bed at night. We had tried a bed-wetting alarm before, and gave up after a few days. This time, we decided to wait it out when we heard of the success of a friend's son.
What a bed-wetting alarm does is wake your child up with a very loud alarm when it senses moisture from the underwear. It's as simple as that. With continued use, the amount of bed-wetting will decrease until it doesn't happen at all. The child will either sleep all night, or will wake up when he has to pee.
Some tips we have are:
1. Have your child sleep somewhere where you can hear the alarm go off. That way you can help him get up and go to the bathroom.
2. Have extra underwear available in the bathroom for easy changes.
3. To avoid changing sheets all the time, have the child wear a bedtime pull-up over his underwear.
4. Be patient. This will not happen overnight. It took about 1.5 months for our son to overcome his bed-wetting. It was well worth the wait. Now we don't have to buy pull-ups anymore, and his confidence has soared.
THIS bed-wetting alarm worked for our child. It can work for yours too!
